The Punjab government has approved the purchase of 37 bullet-proof vehicles to enhance the safety of Chinese engineers and personnel involved in various projects including the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to the details, the Punjab government has given the green signal for the procurement of 11 specially designated bullet proof vehicles for CPEC projects. In addition, the purchase of 23 vehicles has been approved for Chinese nationals working on other projects in the province.

In addition, three bulletproof vehicles have been earmarked for permanent installations to strengthen security arrangements.
Officials have confirmed that there are already 18 bulletproof vehicles to ensure the safety and security of Chinese citizens. The measures came after a comprehensive security audit and review of the movement of Chinese nationals between January 1 and March 31.
