The Supreme Court directed the Election Commission to take note of complaints related to EVMs. A mock exercise was conducted at Kasaragod, Kerala. A petition was filed in the court alleging that every vote there goes to the BJP. During the hearing of this case, Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice Sanjeev Khanna in their oral order asked the Election Commission to investigate the report received in this regard.

BJP got more votes in mock exercise

During the hearing, senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, appearing for the ADR petitioner, referred to a media report. According to this report, during the mock exercise in Kasargod, the Bharatiya Janata Party got four EVMs and one additional vote in the VVPAT. Taking this seriously, the bench directed the counsel for Election Commission, Manander Singh, to look into the whole matter. Many requests were made to the court. They demanded that all the votes imported from the EVMs match the VVPAT slips.

Lots of fraud with EVM

Senior advocate Prashant Bhushan demanded that all VVPAT slips be counted. On this the court said how can this be possible in a big country like India. Prashant Bhushan gave an example of a country like Germany and said that elections are held there using a ballot paper. On this the judge said that the population there is only 6 crores.

He further said that I am from West Bengal and the population here is only 6 million people. Tzedek said that we also saw the period when the elections were held by ballot. The bench also clarified that the machine works properly if there is no interference from any kind of people.
