Due to extreme heat, the supply of essential grains such as wheat as well as coffee, dairy products and fish may be affected. Due to disruptions in supply, their availability in the market will be affected, which will directly affect the food plates.
In a discussion with Amar Ojala, agricultural scientist DK Tiwari says that as predicted by the meteorological department, this time the maximum and minimum temperatures will also touch new levels. It would also exceed the limits of human survival. Due to heat waves, not only the prices of vegetarian and non-vegetarian thali will increase, but their taste may also be different. Apart from this, there may also be an increase in the prices of many food products. Changes can also be seen in the existing supply chain.
