Bhaskar News The police have revealed that they have bought and sold ganja in the Balidih Hattola dhaba located on the Jharkhand Odisha border in the Potka Kowali police station area. In this regard, SP Rural Rishabh Garg said in a press conference that SSP Kaushal Kishore has received confidential information that the business of illegal purchase and sale of ganja is being conducted at Om Pradhan Hotel (Dhaba) located on the border of Jharkhand Odisha. After receiving the information, the SSP formed a team under the leadership of Musabani DSP Sandeep Bhagat and directed it to conduct the raid. On instructions, the police raided this dhaba. The police recovered 1.064 kg of ganja from the dhaba. Dhaba owner Suku Mahakud was taken into custody and questioned. During interrogation, Suku said that a person brings ganja from Odisha and sells it by making packets from here. The police registered a case against Suku under the NDPS Act and sent him to jail. The raiding team consisted of Kowali police station Dhananjay Paswan, Sub-Inspector Ajanta Mahato, Sido Murmu and the police. Even before this, the police had launched a raid after getting information about the smuggling of ganja, but the police had no success then. Sources said that ganja is being smuggled on a large scale from Odisha state through night buses and other vehicles. Hemp is supplied to the state of Bihar including Jamshedpur.
