Two poachers were caught on Tuesday in Ladkui forest in Budni in Sehore district. The accused was hunting peacock along with his six other companions. The Forest Department team caught him near Nimota Panchayat. Forest Field Officer Prakash Uike said Divisional Forest Officer Mangal Singh Dabar received information about peacock hunting in the revenue district from Beat Nimota of Shyampur Subrange. On this, the forest personnel along with Parikshetra, Beat Guard Shyamsundar, Amarsingh Rawat, Arun Pethari, Yashwant Goyal reached the spot. There Brijesh’s father Renja Pangri, Arjun’s father, a resident of Mohan, Pangri, were hunting peacock along with their other friends. When they saw the forest staff, the hunters started chasing the peacocks with their dogs. During this period the forest staff caught the two poachers. Her six companions escaped. The dead peacock was brought to the Ladkui forest area. Here Dr Himanshu Sule examined the peacock. Doctor Sule said that the female peacock is being hunted. In this regard, signs of being hit by something can be seen from a distance. The situation will become clear after a post-mortem.
