CRPF and Punjab Police personnel check vehicles coming and going to Amritsar near the Golden Gate.

In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission of Amritsar has issued orders to deposit licensed weapons. These weapons have been requested to be deposited at the police station or gun house nearby and a receipt will be obtained. At the same time, the Election Commission has intensified checking at the entry and exit points of Amritsar. On Friday, the police recovered Rs 1 lakh in cash from the area.
