NS News: Pictou County home searched, 3 people facing drug and weapons charges Achi-News

The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU) has charged three people with drug and weapons offenses after police searched a home in Three Brooks, NS.

The PCISCEU executed a search warrant at the home on Wednesday, with assistance from Pictou County District RCMP, Nova RCMP Northeast Traffic Services, Stellarton Police Service and Westville Police Service.

“At the home, police safely arrested a man and two women and then found methamphetamine, hydromorphone, cocaine, psilocybin, prescription medications, a stolen handgun with ammunition, Canadian Currency and cell phones,” said Const. Dominic Laflamme, with the Nova Scotia RCMP, in a news release.

Nathan Timothy Hale, 37, of Stellarton, NS, is charged with:

  • trafficking in substance
  • two counts of possession of property obtained by crime of a value not exceeding $5,000
  • unsafe storage of a firearm
  • unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • possession of a weapon obtained by committing a crime
  • possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition

Katelyn Rose Kirk, 33, of Pictou, NS, was charged with:

  • trafficking in substance
  • possession of property obtained by crime of a value not exceeding $5,000

Rebecca Lynn Pitts, 47, of Three Brooks has been charged with:

  • trafficking in substance
  • possession of property obtained by crime of a value not exceeding $5,000
  • unsafe storage of a firearm

Hale was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in Pictou provincial court on Monday.

Kirk and Pitts were released on conditions and are expected to appear in Pictou provincial court on July 15.
