MUMBAI: Union Minister and BJP candidate Nitin Gadkari fell ill while participating in the election campaign. He lost consciousness while addressing an election campaign meeting in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. Shiv Sena leader Rajshree Patil, who belongs to CM Eknath Shinde’s faction, has contested from the Yavatmal-Vashim constituency on behalf of the Mahayuti alliance. Gadkari, who participated in the election campaign on his behalf, suddenly collapsed while speaking on the stage. Leaders and other workers immediately took him to the hospital.
Currently, Gadkari is under the care of a doctor. His health condition is said to be stable. Sources in the party said that he has been participating in the election campaign for the past few days and is ill due to heatstroke and heatstroke. Gadkari, who has been representing the Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency for the past ten years, is once again contesting from there in the upcoming elections. Voting took place there on April 19 as part of the first phase of the elections.
