The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has achieved great success. The agency on Thursday arrested the key accused in the case related to the attack on the Indian High Commission in London in March last year. In a statement issued by the investigating agency, it was said that Inderpal Singh Gaba, a resident of Hounslow, UK, was arrested for carrying out illegal activities. In fact, on March 22 last year, there were protests outside the Indian High Commission in London.
The NIA’s investigation into the case so far has revealed that the incidents that took place in London on March 19 and 22 last year were part of a larger conspiracy to attack Indian missions and officials. The March 2023 London attacks were said to be in retaliation for the action taken by the Punjab Police against pro-Khalistan separatist Amritpal Singh on March 18, 2023. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
