This coming weekend, CF Montreal will have to put their depth to the test with forwards Mathias Kokaro, Josef Martinez and Hala Opoko all out with injuries.
Coccaro will miss eight to 10 weeks with an undisclosed injury sustained in last Saturday’s 2-1 win over FC Cincinnati.
He came off in the 26th minute after showing pain in his right leg earlier in the game.
Martinez, who had a goal and an assist in the game, limped out of practice on Wednesday and will miss when Montreal hosts Orlando City on Saturday.
Head coach Laurent Courtois says the injury is less serious, but the team is being careful.
Courtois says forward Mahala Ofoku (ankle) is nearing a return from his March 2 injury against Dallas.
Jules-Antoine Wilson, also a striker, has recovered from a knee injury that has sidelined him since March 10, but was not fit to participate on Saturday, Courtois said.
