But this time he claimed to have pulled out of the competition. Kiran was recently diagnosed with cancer and the actress underwent treatment and told the media that she is slowly recovering.

Two months ago, the actress said she met party president JP Nadda and Union Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah and asked them to rest this time. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and underwent treatment for a year.
Due to proper treatment and God’s grace I have recovered now but due to my illness, treatment and recovery Chandigarh was lost to me this time but the party should not be lost due to my absence. So I asked to choose another candidate. But actress Kiran Kher said that my journey with the party did not end here.
