Mridula contested as an independent candidate. A total of eight candidates, including BSP candidate Sarika Singh Baghel and BJP candidate Ram Shankar Katheria, filed their nomination papers on Wednesday.

Triangular competition is likely

Mridula said the nomination paper is not being withdrawn
