Strangely enough, his wife Mridula Katheria has announced that she will contest the elections against her husband by filing nomination papers from the same constituency on Wednesday. Mridula contested as an independent candidate. A total of eight candidates, including BSP candidate Sarika Singh Baghel and BJP candidate Ram Shankar Katheria, filed their nomination papers on Wednesday.
Triangular competition is likely

At the same time, internal strife within the parties and dissatisfaction between the candidates become a problem for the candidates. Mridula said the nomination paper is not being withdrawn
After filing the nomination papers, Mridula Katheria has submitted the nomination papers as an independent candidate. He will not withdraw from the election for any reason. There is democracy in the country. Everyone is free here. He said that everyone has the right to vote and contest elections.
When asked about her husband, Mridula explained that he is not with her and said that he will contest the elections. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections also, his wife Mridula Katheria filed her nomination as an independent candidate against BJP candidate Ram Shankar Katheria, but withdrew her nomination as the nomination papers were withdrawn. Ram Shankar Katheria had won this election on the BJP symbol. But this time Mridula Katheria’s announcement that she will not withdraw her nomination paper is said to be a problem for BJP candidate Ram Shankar Katheria.
BJP towards hat trick achievement
BJP had won this constituency in Lok Sabha elections 2014. Earlier this constituency was under SP rule. Ashok was elected MP in 2014 elections. After this, BJP’s Ramashankar Katheria won the 2019 election. This time too, BJP has expressed confidence in him and given him the ticket.
