The kidnapping angle came to light in the case of a property dealer’s suicide by jumping from a two-storey building in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. It is alleged that some businessmen took him as a hostage to get a loan of Rs 6 lakh. To escape their clutches he jumped from the apartment. However, the police opened a case against the accused only for aiding suicide.
