Hina Khan as a “proud Indian citizen who believes in the democratic process” completed her voting duties.

The fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is underway. People from 49 constituencies in six states and two union territories are voting in the fifth phase today. As responsible citizens, several Bollywood and TV celebrities have already voted. From the film world, stars including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, his father David Dhawan, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, among others, voted for their party of choice. Here is a list of notable TV celebrities who also joined the voting bandwagon, and shared their experience on social media.

Hina Khan

Hina Khan as a “proud Indian citizen who believes in the democratic processes” completed her voting duty. Sharing the news on Instagram, the actress wrote, “Exercising the most basic right we have as citizens is a unique feeling of belonging. I was very happy to see a large number of people walking around and waiting in line patiently despite the crazy humidity and heat of almost 40 degrees Celsius. Mumbai sure knows how to set the bar high.” She urged the masses to vote by ballot as part of their national right and duty. Dressed in an oversized white t-shirt with sunglasses and a black hat, she showed her inked finger.

Nakuul Mehta

The Ashkabaz actor waved his ink finger on Instagram and flashed a happy smile. He was wearing a blue shirt with stripes in the picture and it read “Jai Hind”.

Deepika Singh

Deepika Singh might have been busy with TV shoots. But before she left for the set, she made sure to vote. “Proud to say I cast my vote before going on set!” wrote the Diya Aur Baati Hum actress on Instagram. In the picture she wore a pink printed outfit, and her hair was tied in a bun.

Divyanka Tripathi

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress Divyanka Tripathi took a picture on Instagram with her finger inked. She looked beautiful in a pink floral kurta. “I cast my vote. Did you?” Divyanka wrote in her thoughtful caption.

Gurmeet Choudhary-Dabina Banerjee

The Ramayana co-stars and real-life couple the twins in white ensembles as they stepped out in the heat to vote. The celebrity duo wrote on Instagram, “We did our thing and voted,” beaming smiles.

Karen V. Grover

“Citizen K” read Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli Karab V Grover’s Instagram post. Flashing one eye in an off-white t-shirt, he showed off his inked index finger.

Anupam Mittal

India’s Shark Tank judge Anupam Mittal removed an Instagram post, stressing that he had completed his national duty to vote. Dressed in a half-sleeved black jacket with peach-tinted sunglasses and a white cap, the Shaadi.com CEO flashed his inked index finger to the camera. “Ungali karna zarori hai. Hak se karna (Ink a finger. Do it on your right.)”

Mogada Chapkar

In her Instagram stories, the Kettle Bhagya star reminded voters of their responsibility by writing, “It’s not a holiday. Go out and vote.” A white collared shirt was her OOTD.
