KOJENCHERY: A strange incident happened when a groom created a ruckus at his own wedding and ended up in police custody. The police arrested the groom who was under the influence of alcohol in the wedding hall, and the wedding was canceled by the bride and her family because of this commotion. This strange incident happened in Tadiyur, Kozenchery, Kerala.
According to eyewitnesses who had attended the wedding, the groom had come to the church where the wedding was to take place in a drunken state. He was struggling even to get out of the car. Not only did his behavior deteriorate inside the church, he began to misbehave with the priest.
The police were informed by the wedding guests
The wedding guests saw this and informed the police. Even after the police arrived at the scene, the groom continued causing a lot of trouble. Because of this, the police have registered a case on charges of misbehavior and public riot while drunk and have taken the groom into custody. A medical examination carried out by the police confirmed that the groom had consumed alcohol.
6 lakh compensation of Rs
The groom had returned from abroad for the wedding. Relatives said he had been drinking alcohol since the previous morning. After the groom’s family agreed to pay a compensation of Rs 6 lakh to the bride’s family, both the families were expelled from the church where the wedding was to take place.
Cancel a wedding for serving mutton!
Recently there was another such incident in Hyderabad. The groom’s side canceled the wedding because the bride’s family served mutton at the engagement. A woman from Nizamabad and a young man from Jagtial got engaged in November.

The ceremony took place in the bride’s house. The bride’s family prepared a feast of meat dishes for the invited guests and the groom’s relatives. However, the bride’s family objected that the groom’s family did not prepare mutton dishes.
Later, the police reached the spot and tried to solve the problem. But the groom’s family accused the bride’s family of insulting them. The groom’s family said the mutton dishes were not being made despite their request. The groom’s family then terminated the marriage.
