Black gold ie Mandsaur-Neemuch opium growers of Madhya Pradesh has become a route for drug smuggling. Opium from Arunachal, Jharkhand and Manipur is supplied to Rajasthan-Punjab through here. CBN seized 376 kg of opium in two years, including 1 thousand kg in the year 2023. From this, there were preparations to send a large amount from Manipur and Arunachal to Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab.
Similarly, in 2023 itself, 69 thousand kg of Dodachura were also caught
