JMM MLA from Vishunpur Chamra Linda and former member of Gandey Prof. Jaiprakash Verma has rebelled against the party and contested the Lok Sabha elections. Chamra Lohardaga and Prof. Verma stands from Koderma. Despite this the party is silent. In Lohardaga, Indi alliance candidate Chamra Linda is campaigning against Congress’ Sukhdev Bhagat. While Prof. Verma is seeking votes against CPI(ML) candidate Vinod Singh, who is contesting on behalf of the Indian alliance in Koderma. Verma is also supporting BJP candidate Dilip Verma against JMM candidate Kalpana Soren in the Gandey Assembly by-election. But the party is hesitant before taking action against them for fear of suffering a loss in the elections.
