New Delhi: This year’s Main Joint Entrance (JEE) result has been declared. For engineering and B.Tech admissions, the opportunity to study in IITs, NITs is available only on the basis of the results of this all India level exam.
Like last year, Telangana also recorded the highest 100 percent this year. In 2023, 11 students from Telangana scored 100 percent. This year this number has increased to 15. The number one name on the list is Neelakrishna Nirmalkumar from Gujarat in Maharashtra. The second is Sanvi Jain from Karnataka.
A total of 9.24 lakh candidates registered for the 2024 exam, of which 8.2 lakh appeared for the JEE Main exam The number of 100 percentiles in this exam increased by 13 candidates compared to 2023 as a total of 56 candidates scored 100 in Paper 1. (BE/BTech). This number has increased from 43 in 2023.
Ritam Banerjee from West Bengal topped the list based on JEE main results in the state. Its percentile is 99.9972091. Apart from this, Bangla Sahar’s role name is on the scorecard. Role as third gender candidate got 56.6784820 percentile in this exam. The top 100 percentiles were obtained from Telangana. It is followed by Maharashtra and Delhi. Candidates from these two states are second and third in the list of 100 percentile score.
The exam will be held in two sessions in February and April 2024. This time the cut off for general category candidates is 93.2 percentile. Economically Backward Classes (EWS) are pegged at 81.32, ABA 79.6, Scheduled Castes (SC) 60.09 and Scheduled Tribes (ST) 46.69. JEE Main Result is available on the website https://jeemain.nta.ac.in/.
