California: Tech giant Google has introduced a new voicemail feature for Android users.
According to a foreign news agency, it will be easier to keep in touch with friends in the new voice message feature introduced by Google. Until now, the Google Workspace instant messaging tool had text and image support, but now it will be possible to send voice messages as well.
The newly introduced feature will initially be available for Android and iOS device users while the web version will also be rolled out soon.
According to Google, users will be able to send voice messages in direct messages, group chats and spaces. Sending a voice message saves time compared to typing text while also being convenient for the user.
The company says that this feature has been requested the most by users and this feature will be enabled by default but users can also disable it while it is also possible to respond to voice messages as a text message.

According to the company, the way to use this feature is also very easy. Record and send a voice message by clicking the microphone icon in a chat window. Users can also preview the message before sending it to make a final decision to send it.
