Bhaskar Sariya News: Late on Tuesday night, two elephants, separated from the herd, created a ruckus in Kovadiya Tola and Nawadih of Sariya police station area. During this period, many farmers’ crops were also trampled, and a house and a boundary wall were also demolished. In this regard, the victim Kovadiya resident Udayshankar said that his family was sleeping in the house at night. Suddenly at 1 o’clock at night, elephants attacked and demolished the wall of the house. Somehow we and our family ran away to save our lives. Farmers Bhola Prasad, Rajkumar Verma, Baleshwar Prasad etc. said that a group of two elephants reached our plantation around 1:00 in the evening. First of all, the elephant broke about 20 feet of the boundary wall and damaged the crops planted in the garden. Which includes crops such as gourds, cucumber, ladybug, corn etc. After receiving information, the team of Sariya Forest Department also arrived late at night and started the work of driving away the elephants. Apart from this, in Nawadih etc. areas of Sariya, the elephant broke the boundary wall of many people and even reached near the houses. Regarding this, Complex Forest Officer Anshu Pandey said that two elephants separated from the herd are roaming in Sariya district. So, if you see an elephant anywhere, do not disturb it unnecessarily. Inform the Forest Department immediately so that the relief and rescue team can send the elephants to the forest area in time. The elephants are currently camping in the Rajdah Dham forest.
