New Delhi (A.17): Former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh has filed his nomination form from Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituency. In the affidavit filed with his nomination, it is mentioned that his income has halved in the last 5 years and that his wife’s income has been continuously increasing.

Digvijay Singh, contesting on a Congress ticket from the Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituency, filed his nomination papers on Durga Ashtami. He submitted his nomination papers in a simple manner along with the voters of his constituency. In this nomination he has also given details of income of the last 5 financial years. In 2018-19, his income was around 39 lakh 49,000, which has decreased to 28 lakh 50 thousand in 2019-20, according to the affidavit.

Even after this, the downward trend in income continues. His income is 18 lakh 78000 in the year 2020-21, 20 lakh 11 thousand in the year 2021-22 and 22 lakh 33 thousand in the year 2022-23 and his wife’s income is constantly increasing. His wife Amrita Rai’s income was Rs 5 lakh 72000 in 2018-19 and it increased to Rs 31 lakh 17 thousand in 2019-20. The process of increasing the amount continued in 2020-21 as well. Their income for this financial year is reported to be Rs 43 lakh 88000, while in 2021-22 their income from agriculture is reported to be Rs 65 lakh 90,000 and Rs 4,99,000.

Digvijay Singh’s wife’s income will be Rs 88 lakh 14,000 in the financial year 2022-23. and 9,95,000 from agriculture.
