Bokaro The Jain community has written a letter to Deputy Commissioner Bijay Jadhav and Additional Municipal Commissioner Chas Municipal Corporation demanding a ban on meat and fish in the city on Mahavir Jayanti. Jain Milan President Sanjay Baid and Secretary Alok Kumar Jain said that Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated as Non-Violence Day in the entire country. The ban on selling meat and fish on this day will strengthen Lord Mahavir’s message of live and let live. That said, in many states, given Non-Violence Day, there is complete regulation of meat and fish. Jharkhand is the land of Jain Tirthankaras, so it would be appropriate to celebrate Non-Violence Day in true sense. During this, Shyamsundar Jain, Dr. Mahendra Jain, Bajrang Lal Choradiya, Manak Challani, Subhash Jain, Vikas Jain, Dr. Akash Jain, Ankit Jain, Chandan Banthia, Vimal Jain, Surendra Jain, Prakash Kothari, Piyush Vora, Ajay Jain, Mae Vipul Mehta, Ketan Mehta, Tejas Dhruv, Deepak Jain etc have demanded ban.
