Kolkata: Voting for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections is underway across the country. Voting in a total of 102 constituencies across 21 states and union territories has been peaceful so far. This time the election will be held in seven stages. Voting in three centers in West Bengal in the first phase. Voting is going on today in Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar and Alipurduar. According to the statistics available till 9 am of voting, Bengal is leading the entire country in terms of percentage. On the other hand, the presence of heavyweights and stars in the first round of polling from Tamil Nadu to Assam is evident from the morning.

Voting has begun in 102 constituencies in 21 states and union territories in the first phase of the Lok Sabha. This is the largest episode in terms of seats. Voting will continue until 6pm. Tamil Nadu has the highest percentage of voters. Voting is underway in 39 constituencies today. Note that Manipur has two Lok Sabha constituencies. Inner Manipur and Outer Manipur. However, the Election Commission has decided to divide Outer Manipur into two parts. Voting is taking place in a part of Outer Manipur today. Voting for the remainder will take place on April 26.
