In the survey, researchers found that people in their mid-60s now define old age as starting around age 75.
They believe that age has increased as it was in the past, about a decade ago, people of this age defined age as starting around 71.

Women believe that aging starts about two years later than most men believe. Meanwhile, those who are lonely or in poor health tend to consider themselves old at a lower age than those who are happy and healthy.
The study stated that these findings are based on data from a German study on aging that included over 14,000 participants who responded to questions eight times over a 25-year period.
