Ancestors Rise: Pearl, Coral Jewels in the Ancient Pagoda Temple! Achi-News

Temples and ancient temples are found all over the world. Through this, the beliefs of the elders and the life of the people are thrown into many interesting subjects. A Buddhist temple (Ancestors Rising) dating back to the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) has now been discovered in Pingcheng District, Datong City, Shaanxi Province, North China. The ancient temple is about 300 meters away from the ruins of the Northern Wei Dynasty palace. The state archeology department said the pagoda was in the center of the temple.

Investigators discovered a square pit in the center of the pagoda base containing pearls, coral ornaments and brass rings. Over 200 Buddhist statues in good condition have been found inside the pagoda. Some of the statues are painted and some are decorated with gold leaf.

Decorate with murals
The pagoda is believed to have been painted with murals. Li Shuyun, deputy head of the organization, informed that the skin on top of the pagoda wall indicates ancient ruins.

Good material for study
This is the best preserved pagoda foundation. The researchers said it provides important physical research material for studying the architectural types of Buddhist pagodas of that period.
