The alleged incident of throwing a bomb at the Ram Naami procession in Shaktipur of Murshidabad district came to light on Wednesday evening. 20 people were injured in this incident, including a woman and two children. The injured were admitted to Murshidabad Medical College and other hospitals. Many shops were reportedly looted openly.
Apart from Shaktipur, an attack was also carried out in Manikihar area of ​​the district during the Ram Nami procession. Many shops were looted in the Manikihar area. The rioters are accused of attacking the Ram Nami procession. Disobedients started throwing stones at the procession from the roof of the house in Shaktipur. Not only that, bombs were also thrown at the procession. A seriously injured woman was brought to Murshidabad Medical College Hospital. The rest were admitted to the local Carnasobarna hospital. It was reported that two children were also among the injured. There is a situation of extreme tension in the region. Central forces were deployed in large numbers. However, the official notification of the police is yet to come out in this regard.
