After being questioned by the Supreme Court in the misleading advertisement case, Patanjali again published an apology in a newspaper on Wednesday. This time its size is also bigger than before. It is worth noting that Patanjali issued a similar apology the day before. However, the Supreme Court, while seeking information on this, asked Patanjali whether his apology was as big as his advertisements.

The size of the apology published by Ramdev and his colleague Balakrishna in the newspaper is about three quarters of a newspaper page. It says ‘unconditional apology’ in big letters. She also apologized and said, “We personally, as well as the company, are responsible for disobeying or disobeying the directions/orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the context of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India (Petition No. 645 /2022). We apologize unconditionally .

We also apologize for holding the meeting/press conference on 11/22/2023. Also, we sincerely apologize for the mistake in publishing our advertisements and express our wholehearted commitment that such mistakes will not be repeated. We undertake to follow the instructions of the honorable court with utmost care and dedication. We undertake to maintain respect for the honor of the court and abide by the applicable laws and directions of the Hon’ble Court/authorities concerned.” At the end of this apology, the names of Acharya Balakrishna, Swami Ramdev along with Patanjali Ayurveda Limited were also given.

The Supreme Court raised questions

It is worth noting that Ramdev and Balkrishna had appeared before the Supreme Court a day earlier. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, who appeared for him, told the bench that he would also publish further advertisements apologizing unconditionally for his mistakes. He said he published an apology in 67 newspapers across the country on Monday.

To which Judge Hima Kohli asked, ‘Was an apology equal to the size of your advertisements?’ To this Rohatgi said that the apology was published in 67 newspapers. Its cost is tens of lakhs. At the same time, Justice Kohli said we wonder whether the full page advertisements published by you cost a lakh of rupees? Read the full news here…
