Lahore (News Desk) The Lahore High Court declared a marriage with the wife’s sister illegal without completing the Idda.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh of the Lahore High Court has issued an 11-page written decision in the case related to the marriage of the woman with her sister without completing the Idda.
The decision said that marrying the wife’s sister before Eid is tantamount to marrying two sisters at the same time According to Islamic law, a person cannot marry two half sisters at the same time.
The court’s decision further stated that the scholars agree that a man cannot marry his first wife’s sister before the Idah period ends, a man can marry his first wife’s sister after the Idah period ends.
The Lahore High Court wrote in a written judgment that the marriage of the first wife with her sister before completing her Idda will be considered invalid, such a marriage is equivalent to marrying two sisters at the same time.

In the written decision, it was said that the husband and wife must separate from each other as soon as they find out about the illegal marriage.
According to the verdict, on August 2023, Sabir Ali filed an FIR against his brother-in-law Muswar Hussain He married his second sister 9 days after divorcing the first wife, as per Shariat Idda, it has not been completed in 9 days.
