Students have been exempted from the requirement of Aadhaar number and family identity card for admission to all Haryana government schools. The Directorate of School Education wrote a letter to all District Education Officers (DEO), District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO), Block Education Officer (BEO) and Block Elementary Education Officer (BEEO) of the state. In it he has given guidelines regarding the need for family identity card and Aadhaar card number while registering under Pravesh Utsav.

The department has given instructions to conduct entrance holidays in the schools of the state.
