Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi has been appointed as the next Chief of the Indian Navy. Having served in many important roles during his 40-year career, Admiral Dinesh is now ready to serve in the top post of the Navy. Tripathi is currently the Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff. According to a statement released on Thursday, the new Navy Commander will take office on April 30. Prior to assuming the position of Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Tripathi also served as Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command. Tripathi will replace Admiral R Harikumar.
