New Delhi: The heat reaches its peak in the first week of May itself. According to the report, Sunday was very hot and people across the country were dealing with extreme heat. A drastic increase in the maximum temperature was recorded. Telangana, Rayalaseema, Vidarbha, North Karnataka and parts of North Madhya Pradesh recorded temperatures between 44-45 degrees Celsius. This increase in heat was observed in different parts of these regions.

Apart from this, Marathwada, Southeast Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, North Odisha, Ganga West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh also experienced similar hot conditions. The maximum temperature here was between 42-44 degrees Celsius and these temperature data indicate that the country is now in an extreme heat level.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the temperature recorded in some parts of West Bengal Ganga was 4-7 degrees Celsius above the normal range. The rise in temperatures is expected to have negative effects on both human health and agricultural crop yields. Large areas of Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu recorded temperatures of 2-5 degrees Celsius above normal. Even in isolated parts of Kerala and Maha, interior Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand, the heat remains unbearable. Here, too, the temperature was 2-5 degrees Celsius higher than normal.

The weather forecast for the coming week is that high temperatures may continue in these areas. In such a situation, people are urged to drink plenty of water, avoid going out in the afternoon heat and stay updated on weather reports and health advice.
