Quetta (News Desk) Maulvi Mohammad Umar Jan Akhundzada, a senior adviser of the Afghan Taliban, was killed by unknown persons in Quetta.
According to reports, unknown persons carried out a target killing of Sheikh Hadith Maulvi Muhammad Umar Jan Akhundzada in Kili district late at night. No one has accepted the responsibility for killing Maulvi Mohammad Umar Jan Akhundzada.

Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed the killing. Condemning the killing, the spokesperson said that the killing of scholars is regrettable.
Zabihullah Mujahid said on social media platform X that “Islamic Emirate is very sad because of the death of a great scholar of the country.” The Islamic Emirate calls this incident an irreparable loss for the country and expresses its condolences to the mourners and their faithful.
