The people of the four varnas are Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, Shudras; The four directions East, West, North and South are also represented by the four branches of the Swastik. The center of the swastika is considered to be Lord Vishnu’s navel, from which Lord Brahma emerged.
