MUMBAI: Famous Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra (Actress Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra) were shocked by ED. The Enforcement Directorate, which had been keeping an eye on this couple for the past few years, has now seized property worth 97 crores belonging to both of them.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has reportedly seized properties worth around Rs 98 crore, including the Juhu flat of businessman Raj Kundra’s wife Shilpa Shetty.

The Mumbai branch of the Enforcement Directorate has seized properties worth ₹97.79 crore belonging to film actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra under the PMLA Act. According to ED sources, the seized properties include a bungalow in Juhu, which is in the name of Shilpa Shetty. It also includes a bungalow in Pune. Apart from this, ED seized some shares held in the name of Raj Kundra.
According to information, the investigating agency ED had initiated an investigation under the PMLA Act based on various FIRs registered in Maharashtra. M/s Variable Tech Pvt Ltd, Late Amit Bhardwaj, Ajay Bhardwaj, Vivek Bhardwaj, Simpi Bhardwaj, Mahendra Bhardwaj and other MLM Agents have received about Rs 6600 Crore worth of Bitcoins from investors based on false promises. They are also accused of using Bitcoin mining for personal interests.

ED alleged that Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra received 285 bitcoins from the mastermind of the scam. Amit Bhardwaj cheated investors and got these bitcoins and invested in bitcoin mining in Ukraine. Raj Kundra received 285 bitcoins from the proceeds of crime of this scam, worth Rs 150 crore so far. ED raided and arrested three accused in this case.
Simpi Bhardwaj was arrested last year on December 17, 2023, Nitin Gaur on December 29 and Akhil Mahajan on January 16. They are all in jail now. Ajay Bharadwaj and Mahendra Bharadwaj, the main accused in this case, are still absconding and their search is being conducted by the investigating agency ED. The Enforcement Directorate has already seized movable and immovable property worth Rs 69 crore in this case.
