A 12-year-old tribal girl was raped and murdered in Maharashtra’s Gondia district. Some tribal organizations were outraged when no arrests were made even after five days of the incident. On Wednesday, he protested outside the peace office in Deuri sub-wing and submitted a memorandum. The protesters demanded an early arrest in the case and a death sentence for the criminal. He threatened to increase the agitation if no arrests were made.
According to the police, the sixth grade student went with her parents to a wedding ceremony at a relative’s house on April 19. From the place where an unknown person kidnapped him. When the parents did not see the girl for a long time, they started searching. On April 20, the girl’s body was found mutilated in Dhavalkhedi forest near Gutanpar village. After receiving the information, a team from the Chichgarh police station reached the spot. A case was registered after collecting evidence from the scene.
The tribal organizations have been protesting for two days
With no arrests even after the incident, members of several local tribal organizations have been protesting outside the Dauri sub-divisional magistrate’s office since Tuesday. On Wednesday he protested and submitted a memorandum. During it, people warned that if the accused in this case were not arrested soon, they would intensify the movement.
