Scottish Fire and Rescue Service say they were called to the incident near the village’s old primary school on High Street shortly after 9.30pm on Saturday, April 20.
The service says they were initially called to reports of a fire in the open by a member of the public.
They then sent one fire engine to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews said the fire had hit a large pile of trash and was not affecting the building next door.
Fire crews remained in the area until 3:49 am (Sunday, April 21).
Currently, it is unclear how the fire started.
Police Scotland has been contacted for a response.
