Chennai: A truck carrying gold worth Rs 666 crore met with an accident in Tamil Nadu’s Erode on Wednesday. The driver and the security guard were injured in the incident. So, this truck (Golden Truck Accident) was carrying 810 kilograms of gold ornaments. The truck was going from Coimbatore to Salem when the truck driver lost control and the accident took place.

A tarpaulin from another vehicle has fallen on the windscreen of the vehicle carrying the gold. Driver Sasikumar and security guard Paulraj were rescued and admitted to hospital. A private security company was transporting jewelery from Coimbatore to jewelery shops in Salem. India Today reported that the gold jewelery in the crashed truck was moved to the new vehicle before the authorities.

NEW DELHI: AAP MP Amanatullah Khan from Okha assembly constituency has been accused of assaulting petrol pump staff.
