Once summer arrives, outbreaks of Japanese encephalitis and AES begin. Usually children suffer from it. The Ministry of Health instructed all government hospitals to maintain appropriate arrangements for their treatment. Due to this, 12 districts of the state, Patna, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, East Champaran, West Champaran, Sitamarhi and Shibhar are affected.
