The work of the newly constructed bridge to save a population of about 5 lakh from Shankrangar, Gaitrinagar to Muba-Sedu and more than 2 dozen colonies and villages adjacent to the city from traffic jams has stalled. The ground was tested for the proposed Rs 135 crore 700 meter bridge between Pandari LIC office and Avanti Bai Chowk when BJP councilor Pramod Sahu along with many influential businessmen and politicians came out against it. So the police closed the investigation and returned with the machine.
Their claim is that building an oral bridge will not solve the traffic jam problem.
