In the second ODI match between Pakistan and West Indies women’s teams, the green shirts set a target of 224 runs to beat the visiting team.

In the second match of the three-match ODI series between the women’s teams of Pakistan and West Indies, the green shirts were eased out and elected to bat first. However, the team could not play full 50 overs and in 48.5 overs, the entire team returned to their pavilion having scored 223 runs.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first, but opener Muneeva Ali proved to be the visitor for just 2 runs. After the first wicket fell to 11 runs, Sudra and Bisma Maruf supported the team and forged an 80-run partnership. With a total score of 91, Sudra Amin was on the move as she completed her half-century, while Bisma Maruf scored 64 runs.

Apart from the above two batsmen, no other batsman could stay on the field for long and wickets kept falling at regular intervals.

Chanley Henry and Karisma took three wickets each for the West Indies, while Effie Fletcher took two wickets and Hayley Mathews took one wicket.

It should be noted that the West Indies team has an advantage of 0-1 in the series. In the first match, the visiting team easily defeated Pakistan by 113 runs.

The captain of the visiting team Hayley Mathews first played a brilliant innings of 140 runs unbeaten and then also took three wickets. He was named Man of the Match for this overall performance.

The three-match ODI series is part of the ICC Championship. Currently, Pakistan are fifth in the ICC Championship with 16 points and the green shirts need to win more matches to secure a direct place in the 2025 World Cup.
