A private teacher living in the city of Panipat, Haryana, became a victim of cyber thugs. Here the thieves lured the teacher in the name of completing the task on Telegram. After this, money was spent on the task at various times. A total of Rs 31 lakh 64 thousand was taken from him. When the female teacher started to take the money, it did not come out. When he was asked for more money, he felt cheated. After that the complaint about the matter was given to the police.
The message came on WhatsApp
In the complaint given to the cyber station police, Bhumika said that she lives in Virat Nagar. He is a teacher in a private school. On March 31, 2024, a message came on his WhatsApp. He was offered a part-time job in exchange for completing certain tasks. He completed his three tasks first.
In return he gave him Rs 150. He then asked to speak to a woman named Vanita Desai on Telegram to complete further tasks. Vanita added him to a Telegram group. Where there were approximately 269 members. After this he gave him Global India user ID number and password.
Here a woman named Nirmala added him to a group named 9000. As per his instructions, he invested Rs 26,000, Rs 10,000, Rs 1,08,000 in the fourth task, Rs 5,00,000 in the fifth, Rs 1 ,88,000 in the sixth and finally Rs 50,000 respectively on various tasks.
On April 3, he had no money to invest. He then asked his friends and relatives to invest the money. He invested around Rs 9.5 lakh. When the teacher wanted to withdraw the said amount, he was refused.
