Islamabad (Newsdesk) The degree awarded by an educational institution in appreciation of one’s services is called an honorary degree, it is an honor and not a real higher degree, like a medal or a trophy etc. This degree is usually a doctorate or Master’s below.

This degree can be awarded to a person who has given outstanding service in any field. The holder does not need to be educated for this. It is given symbolically only. It can be given to anyone with no previous association with an educational institution or any previous traditional education.

Because his very name implies that he is “honoured”, it is clear that he has no benefit other than that he is honoured. Such degrees should be listed as awards in the curriculum vitae (CV) and not in the education section.

If someone thinks that instead of spending time in BS, MPhil and PhD, a direct PhD can be done in this way, then it is not possible, not everyone can get it on their own, but the universities and the organizations in their own choice that it is given to?

As mentioned, this is a symbolic degree only. It has nothing to do with any job or knowledge. In any case, the person who gets it has risen above the issues of jobs and economic hardship.
