West Bengal BJP has launched a helpline number and a website to provide legal help to eligible candidates who have fallen victim to the teacher recruitment scam. Recently, during a rally, Prime Minister Modi directed the Bengal unit of the party to set up a legal cell to help the victims of the fraud. BJP released the helpline number on Wednesday night.

BJP has published the helpline number and website

BJP spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya said, “As per Prime Minister Modi’s directives, it is the duty of the West Bengal BJP to stand by the deserving candidates who were victims of the illegal TMC recruitment.” BJP has released the helpline number 9150056618 along with the website bjplegalsupport.org. Samik Bhattacharya said, ‘Once any candidate files a complaint through the helpline number or the website, we will talk to them and provide them with legal assistance.’

Addressing a rally in Bengal last Friday, Prime Minister Modi directed the state BJP unit to provide legal aid to the eligible candidates who fell victim to the teacher recruitment scam. It is worth noting that on April 22, the Calcutta High Court ordered the cancellation of all teacher recruitments made as part of the 2016 state level selection test. Due to this order of the High Court, 26 thousand people lost their jobs. However, the Bengal government moved the court The Supreme Court against the order of the High Court.

The Supreme Court delayed the High Court’s order

On Tuesday, a hearing was held in this matter in the Supreme Court, in which a bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra asked for the continuation of the CBI investigation against the accused leaders. However, the court restrained CBI from making any arrest in this case. Meanwhile, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has accused the BJP of hatching a conspiracy in the teacher recruitment scam.
