The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has once again demonstrated its commitment to the safety and welfare of passengers. A recent incident at Prayagraj Junction in Uttar Pradesh has highlighted the exceptional courage and quick decision-making of RPF officer Sanjay Kumar Rawat.

On Sunday (April 14), assistant sub-inspector Sanjay Kumar Rawat of RPF showed remarkable bravery by saving an elderly man who had slipped while trying to board a moving passenger train. His quick action prevented a potential disaster and earned him recognition on social media.

According to a report in Times Of India, the man got off the Bikaner-bound train from Guwahati to buy lunch at the station. The train reached Prayagraj station at 11:18 am, and as per schedule, it left at 11:35 am after receiving a green signal.

As the train started to move, the 63-year-old man, realizing he had been left behind, tried to board it while it was already moving. He reportedly grabbed the handle of the AM coach but lost his balance in the attempt. RPF’s speedy assistant sub-inspector Rawat immediately intervened, noticing the situation. Using all his strength, Sajjan Kumar pulled back from the moving train, preventing him from falling into the dangerous gap between the platform and the train.
