Forecasters have urged people to take care amid higher UV levels across the UK this weekend, as well as rising pollen counts.

The warmer weather is unlikely to last long, however, with temperatures falling next week as the high pressure covering the country moves on and is replaced by low pressure.

According to the Met Office’s long-term forecast, conditions are expected to change more, with rainfall likely to be above average in most areas.

It is predicted that the temperature will return closer to normal for the month of May.

In the meantime, here are a few pictures of how Glaswegians are soaking up the sun and enjoying the warm weather on Friday afternoon.
