Voting time for by-elections in the country is over, and the counting of votes continues Achi-News

Islamabad/Lahore: The time for voting in the by-elections for the 5 vacant National Assembly seats and 16 vacant Provincial Assembly seats in the country has ended and now the counting of votes is underway.

Voting started at 8 am and continued till 5 pm without any break. Mobile and internet services are out in election areas.

There were also arguments and clashes between political activists at several polling stations including Government Primary School Nizampura and Polling Station No. 33 Kotnaju.

The voting process was suspended due to firing in some places, but voting was restored after the police brought the situation under control.

PP 54 In Kotnajo village of Narowal, a fight broke out between PML-N and PTI workers during which a PML-N worker was killed. The opponents hit the head with a stick during the dispute, which seriously injured the elderly. Muhammad Yusuf, aged 60, was taken to hospital but died before reaching the hospital.
