This was said by the Vice Chancellor of Vikram University, Prof. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey said this in the presidential address at the Main Conclave organized at the School of Engineering and Technology under Vishwavidyalaya Chalo campaign of Vikram University from 22 May to 2 June. All the headteachers present at the conference focused on developing skills and the university curriculum in the National Education Policy to try to provide complete information about courses based on developing skills held by the university in their schools.
The special guest was Executive Council member Varun Gupta, Dean Professor Shailendra Kumar Sharma, DSW Prof. SK Mishra, ex manager SS Narang, Prof. Sandeep Tiwari, Prof. The heads of various schools including DD Bedia expressed their views. Executive Council member Gupta said that in accordance with the objectives of the National Education Policy, important work will be done to connect ITIs and schools for developing students’ skills. Schools’ responsibility has increased for an information revolution and employment-oriented education.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sharma said that in the last few years, there has been a steady increase in the number of admissions to the university. This year around 10,000 students will be contacted under the Vishwavidyalaya Chalo campaign. The principals present at the conference assured that Vikram University will continuously work with the schools for the educational development and skills of the students. Programs like Pratikalpa Utkarsh, Mega Job Fair and Career Counselling, Pratibha Samman etc. were organized in this series. Director of SOET Prof. Sandeep Tiwari said that the main objective of the conference was to consider the role of National Education Policy in the overall development of students.
Organizing Secretary Dr Shivi Bhasin and Dr Brahmadutt Shukla said that principals of many government schools in the area including St Mary’s, Bharatiya Jnanpith, Virgin Mary, School of Excellence, Gyan Sagar Academy participated in the event. Engineer Anjali Upadhyay, Engineer Mohit Prajapati and Dr Purnima Tripathi, teachers associated with the Chalo University campaign, said that after talking to all the principals, they will visit the schools and provide information about various courses to the students.
