Without naming Congress leader Vijay Vadathiwar, an eyewitness in the November 26, 2008 Mumbai terror attack case said on Monday that no one should rub salt in wounds in this way. Devika Rotwan, the youngest eyewitness to testify against terrorist Ajmal Kasab, expressed grief over the Congress leader’s remarks.

Vadattiwar, Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly, claimed that during the November 26, 2008 terror attack, Karkara was not killed by Kasab’s bullet but by a policeman who was a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). . The Congress leader made this comment while targeting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mumbai North Central Lok Sabha constituency, Ujjwal Nikam. Nikam was the special public prosecutor in the attack case.

Devika told news agency PTI that if Kasab did not fire the bullet on November 26, then who did? No one will forget this attack. You rub salt in our wound. If you want to do politics then do it on other issues, but not on this issue. If he wants to support Pakistan then what is he doing in India?

On 26 November 2008, Devika was waiting for a train at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminal (CSMT) with her father Natwarlal and brother Akash when Kasab and one of his associates opened fire indiscriminately. Devika was shot in her right leg, due to which she had to walk with the help of crutches for a long time. She became the youngest eyewitness to testify in court during Kassev’s trial. In the end, the terrorist was sentenced to death.

Devika said that the allegations against Nikam are wrong, because the same lawyer has done a lot for the country and helped hang Kasab. Devika was referring to Vadatiwar and said that he makes such statements at the time of voting. Nikam neither lied nor betrayed the country. If you want to read Kasab’s ballads then go to Pakistan.
