Congress Knesset member Mathew Kojlanaden received a shock from the vigilance court. rejected his request for a court-supervised probe into alleged financial dealings between a private mining company and the defunct IT firm of Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan T. Veena’s daughter.
This petition was granted
Kojlanadan turned to the special vigilance court. He said the vigilance department had refused to investigate the financial transactions between Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) and Veena’s company Exlogic.
Demand for a court-supervised investigation
Last month, when the court was supposed to give its verdict, Kojlanadan made a new demand that the investigation be conducted under the supervision of the court. This angered the court, which asked him if he was sure what his position was in the case. Kojlanaden then said he would present more evidence. The court decided to consider his new demand.
