Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi has been appointed as the new Commander of the Indian Navy. This was announced by the central government late Thursday night. Dinesh Tripathi will replace the current Chief of the Navy Admiral Hari Kumar. He retires on April 30. Dinesh Tripathi will take charge on the day.
Dinesh Tripathi is currently the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff. In the past, the flag officer served as the commanding general of the Western Navy. During his 40-year career, he worked in many important missions of the Indian Navy.
